Following from ‘sprechgesang’, there was this. I gather there’s a difference. If ‘sprechgesang’ is the recitative operatic thing of words sung with pitch but with the rhythms of ordinary speech. Then, ‘sprechstimme’ is ordinary speech spoken to the rhythms of music.
