blood of eden

the man
and the woman
one in the other
the other in the one

as if
difference
would ever be
black and white

because
there is hidden
in every thing
an opposite

and part of me
contains
the merest
speck of you

I’m forever nodding… I this instance to Peter Gabriel… Blood of Eden, to be precise.

It’s also about difference, in general and in particular. The world, despite the wishes of many, is not black and white. In the iterations of similarity variation happens, the patterns repeat but change. Our existence rests on the tiny dissonance each one of us carries and which marks us as unique.

Everything contains the essence of its opposite. As Peter wrote: ‘the man in the woman; the woman in the man…’.
