a pitifu wheen o lines efter aa, me sayin
this is a bit o verse that ony lug maun hear
but there’s nae shape nae rule that I maun obey in
this pitifu wheen o lines
tae mak some sense tae spik tae ane or aa tae speir
fit puckle soons I’d be sweert tae utter prayin
on baith knees tae the blatest god that maun appear
I pit a vocable up my sorras layin
bare upon the cauldrich nicht tae chill an dwyne near
my swaalt beatin hert an naethin but dismay in
this pitifu wheen o lines

I couldn’t resist having a go myself.
Her's the recording I made for the Scottish Writers Centre online speakeasy on 15th June 2021.
