On Raven’s Ait, the river boats strained against the current;
downstream, I crossed Kingston Bridge and walked
the barge path by Hampton Court, on almost-royal grass.
I crossed at the A309 and returned by Seething Wells.
This, I remember, was three-day computer course in Kingston-upon-Thames. It was almost un-London-like. The river was a manageable width, the sun was out and there were trees.
The islands of the river were a bonus.
